Eczema

Eczema is a non-contagious condition that causes the skin to become inflamed, itchy and red. Currently, the exact cause of eczema is still unknown, but researchers know that genetics and environmental triggers play a large role in the onset of eczema. Irritants or allergens elicit an unusual response from the immune system, and as a result skin cells don’t behave as they should which causes an eczema flare-up. With the right treatment these flare-ups can be controlled and the symptoms alleviated.
